Promising Start for the NL AI Coalition’s Education Working Group

Turner is a member of the Dutch AI Coalition, a public-private partnership aimed at accelerating the adoption of AI in the Netherlands. Managing Partner Jeroen Visscher serves as the facilitator of the Education Working Group. The working group’s online kick-off took place on Monday, November 23. A group of people from education, research, government, and the business community are working together to remove barriers and accelerate the valuable application of AI in Dutch education.
During this kick-off meeting, Jeroen Visscher, acting as the project initiator, outlined the working group’s objectives and ambitions, which are also detailed in the working group’s manifesto. Kees van der Klauw, as chair of the coalition, was present to discuss developments within the entire Dutch AI Coalition. The keynote address on the applications of AI was delivered by Pierre Dillenbourg, professor of learning technologies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. In addition, participants discussed various challenges, opportunities, and dilemmas. These lively panel discussions provided a solid starting point for the next step.
The working group will be getting started in the coming period. Would you like to join and contribute to valuable and responsible AI in Education? Send a message to Jasper Engelbert at jengelbert@turner.nl
