“What It Takes” has been named Sports Book of the Year! Barbara Barend, director of HELDEN, announced this wonderful news this morning on NPO.

We are incredibly proud of this wonderful recognition for authors Sarina Wiegman and Turner Jeroen Visscher

“What It Takes” is a powerful story about soccer, life, and leadership. It offers a unique glimpse into Sarina’s coaching philosophy, in which determination, teamwork, and mutual respect take center stage. As an advocate for equal rights and opportunities, she envisions a future for soccer in which everyone—regardless of gender or background—has the opportunity to shine on the field.
