Leusden, December 17, 2024 – Turner, the consultancy firm specialized in strategy execution, has acquired a majority stake in the renowned research and consultancy firm Birch. With this step, Turner expands its services and strengthens its position in the field of strategy execution and data intelligence.
Enhancing Data-Driven Strategy Execution
Birch specializes in data-driven strategy formulation, research, data intelligence, performance dashboards, chain and sector innovation, and contributes to public-private partnerships and campus developments. Birch is, for example, involved in the implementation of the ambitious National Reinforcement Plan ‘Beethoven’ in South Holland, which aims to make more talent available to the microchip sector and secure ASML for the Netherlands.1
Birch possesses key competencies in which Turner aims to grow, such as operating within networks and ecosystems. Through this, Birch delivers visible and measurable chain innovations within public-private partnerships involving government, business, and knowledge institutions, with a tangible impact on societal challenges. Birch will continue to operate primarily autonomously as a brand and organization, within the framework of the Turner platform, at its own location. We already work together and will gradually expand this collaboration.

Turner is pursuing a growth strategy, both autonomously and through participations, aimed at adding new markets and areas of expertise to its services. Turner has secured an investor to support its growth strategy. That investor is NLI Capital. Turner and NLI Capital will collaborate to finance Turner’s growth strategy. NLI is known for its hands-off approach and holds a minority stake, with Turner remaining in control.
