Business Property Damage Transition

Aegon Netherlands

Insurer Aegon has designated its commercial property and casualty insurance division as non-strategic. This created a need for a clear vision of the possibilities for this division. Turner was asked to guide the “design of the end state” process and the transition to another insurer.

Success Thanks to a Sales Process Driven by Core Values

We made the potential scenarios comparable and actionable. By explicitly defining in advance what would constitute a successful transition, we established a sales scenario grounded in core values. These criteria served as a “litmus test” during the negotiations, carve-out, and transfer of operations.

This approach resulted in a successful sales process and a carve-out and transition led by Turner.

According to Maarten Edixhoven, who was Aegon’s COO at the time, three things characterize Turner:
“Words and deeds—moving from vision to execution. The team approach—the client and Turner work together. And: sharp and respectful—you’re addressed as a client.”

"Strategy implementation through a better plan and a better team; very satisfied."

Robert van der Tol, then a member of the Executive Board of Aegon Netherlands
