The life insurance market had completely collapsed, and the mortgage market was also performing poorly. However, the strategy was clear. Achieving the vision required turning multiple knobs simultaneously. Investing in the team responsible for implementing the change agenda was crucial. This team translated the strategy into clear plans per component on one A4 sheet. The portfolio of initiatives included clear assignments, conditions, and deadlines based on a clear change strategy: coordinated change with a steep learning curve, with the team tightly managing the change portfolio.
Impact: The success is a substantial improvement in change capability. Not only targeted interventions are carried out in structure, process, and governance, but also in behavior and culture. As a result, a remarkable 90% of planned projects and line activities are successfully completed. The results are tangible and noteworthy. The mortgage portfolio has grown against the market trend, with the market share quadrupling since 2008.
