MASTERCLASS: MAKING SENSE OF AI IN EDUCATION

Artificial intelligence is evolving at breakneck speed, offering many opportunities in Education and promising even more for the future. But it also presents dilemmas: for students, faculty, teams, academic programs, deans, administrators, and the entire organization. How adaptable are you—as a professional and as an organization? Which opportunities should you definitely seize, and which threats should you keep out of your institution? Which implementation strategy is the best fit, and how do you integrate AI into the very fabric of your organization?

We’d like to invite you to the exclusive masterclass “Making Sense of AI.” Featuring leading speakers and insightful case studies from educational practice. The goal isn’t to tell you exactly how to do things, but rather to work together to make sense of the latest developments, formulate the right questions, and take action to integrate AI effectively within your institution.

Our masterclass is specifically designed for a broad audience: administrators, executives, strategic program managers, and consultants in the field of Education who guide Strategy Execution and Educational Reform.

With real-world examples from, among others, the National Education Lab AI (NOLAI), which connects education, science, and the business community and will be working on twenty-five projects in education in 2024. Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUAS) and NHL Stenden demonstrate how they are working to integrate AI into the fabric of their organizations and engage students and faculty in activation activities. Beenova has completed a pilot project with Koning Willem 1 College (KW1C) to improve student well-being using an AI solution. The Dutch AI Coalition (NLAIC) has been promoting the quadruple helix in the Netherlands and Europe for years to improve Education and strengthen the Dutch economy. What barriers have they overcome, and which ones remain stubbornly in place?

We see that people are experimenting with AI, but scaling it up is not a given. Yet AI has the potential to make positive contributions to today’s challenges and ambitions (such as reducing workloads, improving the quality of education, aligning Education with the needs of the labor market, and lifelong learning). During the Masterclass, we’ll engage in discussion and share insights based on our experience with the AI projects we’re already involved in. We’re aiming for an inspiring yet hands-on program so that you’ll walk away with practical tools, the right questions, and ideas for tomorrow—and beyond.
