The Turner Speed Skating Team Kicks Off the Marathon Season at the Jaap Eden Ice Rink
The marathon season has begun again. On Saturday, October 18, 2025, the Turner Speed Skating Team kicked off the new season at the always lively Jaap Eden Ice Rink in Amsterdam. It was the traditional setting for the first race of the Daikin Marathon Cup, also known as the 53rd Jaap Eden Trophy.
With an ambitious team and obvious enthusiasm, Eline Cox, Janet Beers, Manon Gremmen, Judith Krabbenborg, and Iza Stekelenburg kicked off the season. The women of Turner combine top-level marathon skating with careers in the (bio)medical sector—a unique combination that requires discipline, focus, and teamwork.
